Iskander Guetta is a Swiss designer based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Iskander studied industrial design at ECAL (University of Art and Design Lausanne) and graduated with honors in 2018. Through his bachelor diploma project Abri+, he explored the housing conditions of displaced people, the lack of intimacy in overcrowded temporary living spaces, and the use of simple design measures to create some comfort and privacy in such situations. Between October 2018 and March 2019, Iskander lived in Morocco, driven by the wish to experience other ways of understanding, thinking, and practicing design that is different from the neoliberal Western paradigm that he was introduced to during his studies in Switzerland. Since February 2020 he has been working in Bangalore for the Selco Foundation, founded by Harish Hande.more
