About

A digital assistant helping to track and manage our online data and protect our privacy

Aeon is a digital assistant helping to track and manage online data and protect privacy. It makes it easy and accessible to exercise your online data rights with powerful and insightful tools, which make data rights processes more compliant and easier to automate. Details of a user experience will no longer be lost between technology, design, legislation and commercial interests; with Aeon, a new, powerful pattern emerges: solid, modular and re-usable UX for compliance processes.

I am a design technologist working towards more intuitive and accessible controls over personal data. After graduating from the Eindhoven University of Technology department of Industrial Design, I am building a career in designing systems and experiences that offer citizens a glimpse of how their personal information is distributed across the internet. My ethnographic research has conclusively shown that mandatory methods for accessing personal data are of abhorrent quality and poorly graspable for regular citizens. My approach is based on a deep integration of technology, UX design and legislation. I want to establish tools and standards that make it easy and accessible to take control over this information by revising or deleting it. My graduation project Aeon and the Open Data Right API offer bold new approaches to personal data management from a user perspective.more
