His project, Anabaena, is about the development of genetic engineering tools for the use of plants in industries such as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, energy, and consumer goods. Prior to his graduate education, Derin earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Case Western Reserve University with majors in Economics and Finance. more
