Auxoide

About

Self-supporting textile that can be bent to create cushions and seatings

Polyurethane foam which is widely used as a cushioning and seating solution is a threat to the environment and the health of its users.

Auxoide is flat textile which forms a 3D shape when bent, offering the springiness of a cushion. The system provides the same support as polyurethane foams, while allowing good ventilation and regulation of body heat, making it more hygienic. The material is recyclable and can be further developed to build complex shapes and applications for furniture.
