# 2023 BioSuGa Mat |
Despite advancements, wound healing research hasn't produced optimal suture solutions, with issues like pain and operational complexity. The BioSuGa Mat, a biocompatible material, aims to simplify the healing process by combining the functions of sutures and gauges. This innovation promises comfort for patients and ease for doctors. The project will utilise materials selected for their biomedical properties and apply the “Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapour Deposition” (PECVD) technique for surface coating.
