Ephemerae: Digital Fabric is an application that allows users to test out new clothes by projecting dynamic digital content onto generic garments. The user wears an outfit made of fabric that the chroma key green, the same colour used on film sets to overlay visual effects in live action. Because of the specific shade, these chroma key garments become a canvas for a different styles, allowing the user to test out an infinite number of aesthetic possibilities without ever changing their outfit.

Angella Mackey

Angella Mackey has been specializing in wearable technology for almost ten years in art, research and commercial contexts. She has worked on functional garments in a wide range of industries, from medical to space flight, and lectures on the design challenges of wearable electronics. She has a multi-disciplinary background in new media art, fashion design, interaction design and product development. Currently, she is a PhD Candidate at Philips Research and Eindhoven University of Technology according to the ArchInTexETN program.more
