# 2024 First Aid Concrete |
Concrete is prone to cracking, which accelerates the corrosion of steel reinforcements and shortens the lifespan of buildings and infrastructure. This innovative solution combines self-healing bacteria and an anti-corrosion agent made from recycled agricultural waste to create a durable, low-carbon concrete. Activated by water and oxygen, bacteria in the concrete produce limestone to fill cracks, while the anti-corrosion agent protects steel. This extends the lifespan of structures, reducing both environmental impact and the need for frequent repairs
