A power glove that let’s you sculpt stone by hand

Happaratus is a ‘power glove’ that makes it possible to shape and sculpt hard materials by hands. Developed in close collaboration with artisans and craft experts from various disciplines, the project takes an experimental approach to increasing the power and creative capabilities of the human hand as a crafting tool, with the potential for changing both tools and workflows in future craft practice.

    Morten is a Danish designer & engineer with previous experience in consumer electronics and urban design innovations. He joined the Royal College of Art after working as a design engineer, first in lighting design for PHILIPS, and later as a consulting urban designer for several studios in Denmark. Morten is currently in the process of starting his own consultancy, which will be characterized by his unique method of heuristic design thinking. The James Dyson Foundation and the Oticon Foundation have supported Morten during his time as a student at the Royal College of Art.more
