My Legacy – Preserve Your Memories

About

A toolkit to capture loved ones scents

My Legacy is a portable toolkit that allows people to instantly capture meaningful smells and transform them into a scent. It provides an opportunity to consciously prepare for death, and to create a meaningful and effective mode of remembrance. Using gas chromatography, the device analyses molecular components in order to replicate the significant smell as a scent. The data used to create the scent is clearly visualised in an accompanying brochure, providing richer memories of the day that the smell was captured and helping to remember scenes from the event.
