Photodermis is a theoretical-scientific, experimental and speculative investigation that proposes a Renewable Energy System that is compostable, local and autonomous. The study focuses on the research area of Smart Inks, using them with the aim of creating a photosynthetic skin for the human body, which generates energy from light harvesting. The proposal projects a provocative future in which an incipient technology addresses the collective commitment to eco-social change. Photodermis is approached from the engineering and design disciplines, using characteristic methodologies of both fields.
