Repurpose 607 suggests prioritising the recovery of communal wellbeing over city infrastructures when it comes to disasters or nationwide traumatic experiences. By focusing the resources to restore disaster sites on the key activities that engage citizens with inclusive functions that look after their mental health and wellbeing, long term growth and prosperity of the nation can be ensured.
Repurpose 607 was created as a response to traumatic experiences resulting from the Beirut blast. Composed of five main plots that are connected to enable people to experience a journey of their own while they wander the site. three of which play the role of memorial museum paying tribute to all the victims that were lost, another consists of sound healing therapy which enables people of all ages to seek help to recover from this tragedy. The third plot contains an amphitheatre with underground retail shops and a restaurant.
