About

A home for rescue dogs inspired by origami

Rescue is an easy-to-clean, construct and transport doghouse designed for rescue shelters. The purpose of this project is to provide a better life for dogs who often spend their time in poor conditions in overcrowded shelters that don’t have enough space or money for individual doghouses. Inspired by the folding techniques of origami, Rescue is constructed from a minimal number of elements, making it simple to assemble, disassemble and transport. The house can be erected without the need for nails, screws or glue. Its main component is made from polypropylene, an inexpensive, recyclable material with excellent physical and chemical properties, including a high degree of thermal insulation, being light weight, firmness, high chemical resistance and resilience to challenging weather conditions.
