The Regrasp System

About

Restoring hand function for spinal cord injury patients

The Regrasp System offers a groundbreaking solution for restoring hand function in patients with spinal cord injuries. By using flexible, penetrating electrodes to stimulate peripheral nerves, the system bypasses spinal cord damage to evoke natural hand movements. It comprises an implanted module for muscle contractions and an external control unit that translates residual movements into commands. With demonstrated biocompatibility, preclinical success, and forthcoming clinical trials, Regrasp aims to enhance quality of life and independence for individuals with tetraplegia
