Alia Mazrooei an Emirati interior designer. I received a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Interior Design from Zayed University in 2017, where I was granted an appreciation award for winning the 1st UAE Porcelanosa Grupo architecture and interior design awards in 2015. During my second year majoring in interior design, I participated in the young entrepreneurship competition where I designed and showcased my first collection of furniture and was nominated as a creative entrepreneur. From there I continued to design and produce two other collections throughout the year. Later I was chosen to speak at a panel talk titled “Emerging female designers in the UAE” and exhibit my project during Dubai design week 2016. On December 2016 I produced and exhibited my first rocking chair designed and built by myself. I am persistent in continuing my path in design and developing my skills.
