Alissa + Nienke is a collaboration of Alissa van Asseldonk and Nienke Bongers, two exploratory designers who joined forces after having met at Design Academy Eindhoven. Their focus lies on experimenting with the properties of materials and letting their imagination run free, creating worlds in texture, shape and color. With numerous material investigations ranging from the flowing of colors through porcelain to lasercutting paper making it 3D, to controlling the heat-coloring of steel, their work expresses the experimental character of both young designers and results in unexpected occurrences, shaping get-aways from reality.
