Catarina Ferreira da Silva, PhD in Informatics (2007), is Associate Professor (2021), with Habilitation in Information Science and Technology (2020). She is the Director of the Information Sciences, Technologies and Architecture Research Centre (ISTAR-ISCTE), member of the Information Systems research group and the Director of the Master programme in Information Systems Management of the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE), Portugal. She is member of the Expert Panel of the European Blockchain Observatory and Forum, since 2021. She coordinates the European project InCITIES – Trailblazing Inclusive, Sustainable and Resilient Cities (2022-2025), a HORIZON Europe Coordination and Support Action, under the program European Excellence Initiative.
