I am a Hong Kong researcher, designer, and strategist interested in empowering people through design and technology.
At the London School of Economics and Political Science, I studied operational research - a discipline that models real-world problems through mathematics and behavioural science. This taught me to better understand people’s behaviors and rationales behind their decisions in a methodological way.
Before pivoting into design, I spent eight years at investment bank Goldman Sachs solving different problems. Through gathering insights from clients and designing business solutions, I came to recognize the power of research, storytelling, and design. Intrigued by how this could be applied to other problems, I decided to swap the trading floor for a place at Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) to learn about crafting interactions between people and complex systems. At CIID, I explored a wide range of socially relevant problems with a focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals from designing wearable technology to tackle femicide in Latin America to creating an ecosystem of readily available edible plants in urban communities.
