Elaine Barnard is a dedicated researcher in the Department of Chemistry and Polymer Science at Stellenbosch University, with a passion for advancing polymer science for biological applications. She has experience in postdoctoral research abroad, where she contributed to developments in the chemical recycling of single-use plastics. Thriving in dynamic start-up environments, Elaine is currently COO of Nanosene, a scientific spin-out from Stellenbosch University, focused on creating innovative polymer tools to revolutionize protein research.
