Leah Martinez is a Mechanical Engineer from Monash University with an interdisciplinary background in mechanical & electrical systems, biomedical engineering and design. She has contributed to a diverse range of projects ranging from medical devices, total artificial hearts, automation systems and diagnostic AI systems. Leah's passion lies in developing technologies that are not only innovative but also meaningful and impactful. This led her to co-found and serve as CTO at Sonorus. Alongside engineering, Leah has also completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in philosophy in which her work extends to the intersection of emerging technology and Ethics. She has worked alongside academics and government on areas such as the ethics of AI in medicine, generative AI in education and the use of AI in law enforcement for child protection.
