Nisal Jayaneththi is a Doctoral Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Melbourne. He is currently researching the use of ultrasound sensors to measure the biomechanical properties of tendons and ligaments. After receiving his Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from The University of Auckland, Nisal has been passionate about using his technical ability to solve complex problems relating to the human body and believes in creating solutions that can be used in a wide array of environments, from preventing injuries on the sports field to providing accessible healthcare in rural areas.
