Peter has been inexorably drawn to robots ever since seeing an inset about Battlebots in a children's magazine at a young age. He built a combat robot for his mechanical engineering senior design project in college, finally fulfilling his childhood dream and competing at Robogames with a 4-2 combat record. After college, he studied applications for industrial robots at work, volunteered as a FIRST Robotics mentor, and built a 12ft tall robotic arm controlled by a haptic glove with friends in his free time. After quitting his job to pursue a Kickstarter, he joined the Stanford Design Program to understand how to better design for human needs, and has been pursing research building wearable robotic arms with Dr. Kenneth Salisbury for the past year. He is also fascinated by manufacturing, food, and sustainable design and enjoys alpine skiing and Latin dance in his free time.
