I am a Doctoral Candidate at Aalto University and an R&D Specialist at a startup company called Nordic Bioproducts Group (NBG). My passion is developing new biomaterials, finding applications for various renewable products, and developing more sustainable alternatives to current commercial processes and products. The cellulose bead project is part of the R&D work conducted by the R&D team at NBG on developing dissolution and regeneration of cellulose in sustainable ways to produce more eco-friendly and yet economically viable alternatives to products such as primary microplastics in cosmetics, plastic films in packaging, and viscose rayon.
