College of Science and Technology, Ningbo University is a full-time ordinary university approved by the Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province to implement undergraduate education.
As a pilot in the reform of Zhejiang’s higher learning education system, the college was established in 1999 as the first state-owned secondary college run by non-governmental sectors in Zhejiang. In 2004, it was recognized as one of the first batch of independent colleges in Zhejiang Province by Ministry of Education. In December of the same year, it won the top rating in the inspection of school-running facilities and teaching quality organized by Ministry of Education. In 2010, it was awarded the honorary title of “National Excellence Independent Colleges”. In 2019, the college moved to its newly-built campus, located in Baisha Road Street in the city of Cixi, with a land area of about 800 mu. In 2021, the college ranked 6th among national independent colleges in Wushulian ranking list.
