Constructor University, formerly known as Jacobs University, is a private, English-speaking institution located in Bremen, Germany. Established in 1999 with the support of the University of Bremen, Rice University in Houston, Texas, and the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, it began its academic programs in 2001. In November 2022, the university adopted its current name, Constructor University.

The university is renowned for its international outlook, hosting over 1,800 students from more than 110 countries on its 34-hectare residential campus. It offers a diverse range of interdisciplinary programs across three main schools: School of Science, School of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Business, Social & Decision Sciences. All programs are conducted in English, emphasizing digital technology and interdisciplinary learning.

Constructor University is recognized for its high academic standards in research and teaching. It consistently ranks among the top private universities in Germany and Europe. For instance, it is ranked within the 501–600 bracket in the World University Rankings 2025 by Times Higher Education.

The campus provides a vibrant student life with various student-driven social and cultural clubs, a fitness center, an indoor rowing tank, an interfaith house, a cinema, a music studio, and a theater space. Students reside in separate residence halls, each fostering a unique sense of community.

In terms of financial investment, the Jacobs Foundation invested €200 million in the institution in November 2006, taking over a two-thirds majority of the partnership share.

For prospective students, Constructor University offers various undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as online degrees and pre-degree programs. The university provides individual academic advising, early research involvement, and state-of-the-art learning and laboratory facilities.
