Hongik University was founded in the first year after Korean independence, and has contributed to making Korea what it is today through educating creative and practical-minded professionals highly needed by society. This primary objective that we have consistently pursued has naturally led Hongik University to become known all around the world as an icon projecting a Korean image of a place where ‘Industry meets Art’.
Each established at significant points in Korea following a central axis, Seoul’s Main Sang-su dong campus and Daehakro campus, Hwaseong's Techno-Art campus, and Sejong City’s Sejong campus all function with unique specialized roles. Through this comprehensive four campus network, our school’s founding ideology is upheld, and once again reflects Hongik University’s strong lead forward into the future.
