Kuwait University was founded in October 1966 as amended by Decree Law No. 29 of 1966. At the time of its establish,emt in 1966, Kuwait university had four colleges: College of Science, College of Arts, College of Education and College for Women. However, in 1967, College of Law, College of Islamic Studies, college of business, college of political science and college of economics were added.
