About

Contemporary vending machines are responsible for large amounts of plastic waste and excess energy consumption. HAKK025 is a conceptual futuristic vending machine that applies the principles of food fermentation and the bioelectrochemical process of microbial fuel cells to produce bioenergy, food and beverages. The innovation presents a utopian vision of an entirely independent and self-sufficient organism that will serve as a mini factory and energy source for human and non-human living beings in a post-anthropocentric world.
