The Challenge
Microbial threats from airborne pathogens to bacterial contaimination, present persistent challenges across healthcare, public spaces and industrial filtration systems. Traditional antimicrobial and filtration solutios often rely on synthetic materials, high-energy processes, or single-use plastics, contributing to waste and environmental harm. There is a pressing need for next-generation, sustainable barrier technologies that protect both people and the planet.

The Solution
Ecobarrier develops 100% sustainable antibacterial filtration technology built on cellulose nanofibres that enhance barrier performance while remaining biodegradable and bio-compatible. The technology improves bacterial filtration and particle barrier properties in common fabric – offering a low-impact alternative to conventional filtration materials.

EcoBarrier Technologies is an enviromental biotech company founded in 2020 with a mission to create and deliver sustainable protection against microbial threats. Their platform harnesses advance cellulose nanofibre science to provide effective, ecofriendly barrier solutions that can be applied to fabrics and other substrates achieving filtration performance approaching professional standars with reduced environmental footprint.
