The ageing population and consequent shortage of caregivers, is leading the elderly and vulnerable to making unwise purchasing decisions. Carebase aims to create a healthier lifestyle for the elderly by helping them choose healthcare products which are appropriate to their needs. Through AI technology a profile is created, based on the user’s personal capacity and functional ability. The data is analysed in conjunction with the recommendation system and suitable products or services are then suggested.

Tang Cheuk Yu Kelly
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design
She graduated with Master of Design in Design Practices at PolyU. She holds degrees in interaction design and visual communication and is experienced in user experience and user interface design. She has been awarded in several design competitions in local and international competitions. She also was the finalist for the 13th International User Experience Innovation Competition and has designed the home service & product for the elderlies.
Lin Zhengtong
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design
Lin completed his Bachelor of Industrial Design and will complete his Masters in Design Practices at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design in 2022. He is a design major specializing in design practices that enhance design strategy. He is also curious about exploring cutting-edge technologies.
