GumAI

GumAI

Project Overview

About

GumAI is an AI-powered system that detects gum disease using smartphone photos of the teeth and gums. Beyond preventing tooth loss, early detection helps reduce the risk of systemic conditions linked to gum disease, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and Alzheimer’s. The tool offers site-specific assessments and personalised hygiene advice, supporting remote monitoring from home. Clinically validated and used in community screening, GumAI empowers individuals and contributes to preventive public health on a broader scale
