This electricity-free microfluidic chip separates plasma from whole blood with 98% efficiency using capillary action, eliminating the need for centrifuges. Compact, affordable, and easy to manufacture, it enables essential diagnostic testing in remote or underserved settings. Already used in a rapid allergy testing kit, the technology supports broader screening for chronic and infectious diseases. Its passive design ensures scalability, bringing reliable, low-cost diagnostics closer to the point of need and helping reduce healthcare inequality

Parth Shinde
BITS Pilani
Parth Shinde is the Founder & CEO of Tvashtr Biotech & a final-year student at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus. He is pioneering field-stable and professionally independent diagnostic kits. A BITS Pilani innovator, he has developed four provisional patents, including a 98.1% efficient plasma-separation chip and novel protein binders designed through De Novo & TRES-driven engineering. Recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by BITSAA (2025) and recipient of the MeitY TIDE 2.0 EIR grant from IIM Bangalore, Parth has represented his research & the start-up globally from Rome to Braunschweig, driven by his vision to democratize diagnostics for underserved communities worldwide.
