Decentralized Carbon Capture

Decentralized Carbon Capture

Project Overview

About

This compact, energy-efficient system enables decentralised carbon capture directly within buildings. Each unit removes 30–60 tonnes of CO₂ per year, using waste airflow and heat to cut energy use by up to 90% compared to conventional DAC. Compatible with evolving sorbent technologies, it reduces Scope 1 and 2 emissions and supplies local CO₂ for industrial use. The modular design offers a scalable, cost-effective solution to help cities and businesses meet their net-zero targets

Sonny is currently the co-founder of Ventrix Labs (ventrixlabs.com). He is building a decentrazlied CO2 supply chain that transforms local exhausts into high-grade CO2 to make new drinks and bricks! Previously, Sonny graduated from Innovation Design Engineering, MSc/MA from Imperial/RCA. His journey to design is rooted in his experience in Mathematics, Performance Art and AI, where he seeks novel algorithmic solutions to solve some of world’s most complex problems (often NP-Hard).
