Lehdio is a smart connected radio supporting community interaction for the elderly, who often suffer long periods of loneliness. Based on the familiar analogue radio, it functions as a regular radio by itself, and transforms into a social platform connecting elderly friends when their phones are docked. The device gives the elderly an opportunity to interact by enabling spontaneous encounters with friends who tune into the same channel, empowering the elderly to stay socially connected.

I am an Interaction and Experience Designer who enjoys challenging bored narratives and enriching the human experience. During my 4 years of design education, I worked together with various established companies in projects in the intersecting fields of Product, Experience, Discursive, Spatial and UIUX design. Currently a UIUX designer in a social enterprise in the FinTech sector, I actively strive to bring positive social change through responsible and inclusive products and experiences that reach the middle-income group in Singapore.
