MusiPants

MusiPants is a unisex trouser with drumming pads built into the legs. When engaging with music, we all respond to the intuitive beat by slapping our thighs, and MusiPants allows the user to transform intuition into an authentic drumming experience. Various sensors in the pads simulate the sonic variety of a drum kit, enabling the different sounds of the snare drum, the bass drum, toms and percussion. Connected through plug-in headphones, the portable kit encourages use in both private and public spaces. MusiPants proposes a new wearable technology that turns the body into an instrument.
