About

Light pollution and growing energy consumption is having an increasingly drastic impact on nature and humans. Papilio have designed a street lamp with an insect-friendly light spectrum that generates energy with an integrated wind rotor, enriching the public space both by day and night whilst saving non-renewable energy.

Tobias Trübenbacher

University of the Arts Berlin (UdK – Berlin)

Tobias Trübenbacher is a product design student, currently based in Berlin. He grew up in Bad Reichenhall, a small town located in the German Alps. After graduating from school, Tobias was working as an extra and stage design assistant at the state theatre in Salzburg for half a year. In the following months he did internships at different architecture offices, before he started studying product design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. After completing the sixth semester and a seven-month internship at Munich-based product design studio „Atelier Steffen Kehrle“, Tobias moved to Berlin to continue his studies at the University of the Arts Berlin, where he is currently working in the „design and social context“ department under professor Ineke Hans. Since two years he is also scholarship holder of the „Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes“.
