About

Innovative diagnostic device which revolutionises the detection of infectious diseases by offering a fast and cost-effective solution. Traditional PCR tests, though accurate, are expensive and complex, limiting their use in various settings. This system integrates a colorimetric detector with a microfluidic sample processing system, delivering results from a saliva sample within 13 minutes. Fully automated and easy to use, it enhances diagnostic speed and accessibility, particularly in remote or low-resource areas, improving public health responses

I am a PhD student in Bioengineering at McGill University, working under the supervision of Prof. Sara Mahshid. I am also a cofounder of Beeta Biomed, a McGill spin-off company. My work has led to coauthoring a paper in Nature Nanotechnology, which is core to Beeta Biomed’s technology. I have been honored with awards such as the NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship and the McGill Engineering Doctoral Award. With 1 US Patent and more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals, I have presented at international conferences and served as a part-time lecturer at McGill, advancing biosensor technology and entrepreneurship in bioengineering
