Severe external bleeding can become fatal before a patient reaches hospital, yet current methods depend heavily on correct placement, manual pressure and judgement under stress. STASYS LIMB wraps around an injured arm or leg and applies adjustable circumferential compression, using integrated monitoring to regulate pressure and reduce the risks of insufficient or excessive tightening. A reusable control module works with a disposable wound-contact band for hygiene. Designed around a simple, standardised emergency workflow, the system could help responders and trained civilians control bleeding more quickly and consistently.

I am a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Turku, with a minor in Automation Engineering. I have practical experience in welding, machining, assembly, electrical and automation installation, supervision, and mechanical design. I enjoy combining hands-on technical skills with engineering knowledge to solve practical problems. I am especially interested in mechanical design, automation, product development, and project-based engineering. I am motivated by challenging projects where I can learn, develop new ideas.
