64% of the population between 18 to 29 year olds have experienced cyberbullying, while social media networks are prone to the growth of forums where beliefs are amplified or reinforced by repetition and insulated from rebuttal. The Middle Ground proposes 2.0 version of social media as we know it, through a moderated discussion platform. It allows users to navigate the topics discussed in the wider media and explore all the different views and perspectives put forward by other users, mediated by an AI-enabled system that filters toxic behavior, attacks and profanity.
