Waste to Wealth

Waste to Wealth

About

Breweries generate significant waste, including spent yeast, which is often discarded despite its rich content of valuable compounds. This project introduces a novel technology, “Détente Instantanée Contrôlée” (DIC), which utilises controlled pressure drops to efficiently process this waste. DIC reduces energy use by up to 20% compared to traditional methods while enhancing the extraction of bioactive compounds. By integrating this technology with streamlined manufacturing practices, the project converts brewery by-products into high-quality pharmaceutical ingredients, addressing environmental and economic challenges
